How to install onnxruntime

Onnxruntime is a runtime that executes exported computational graphs. Treat this as an orientation note. Anything prescriptive should come from the maintainers directly.

The route varies. Some projects publish to system repositories, some to a registry, some only as source that a dedicated build tool consumes.

The project is self-governed. Whoever maintains it chooses what ships and when, and writes the accompanying material.

Establish which platforms the current release actually targets. Support ranges shift, and the newest release is frequently not the one suited to an older machine.

Making sense of the result

Surprises here are rarely the project's fault. Ordering inside the environment decides which copy wins, and that ordering is easy to get wrong.
