How to install sqlx-cli

Sqlx-cli is command line utility. Treat this as an orientation note. Anything prescriptive should come from the maintainers directly.

How it gets there

Nothing universal applies here. Maintainers normally spell out the supported options, and the answer can differ between platforms and between releases.

Who is behind it

Direction comes from the people who write the code. Their decisions on releases and support are the ones that matter.

Prior checks

Confirm the platform still falls inside the supported range. Projects of this kind move quickly, and older systems tend to be dropped with little ceremony.

Interpreting what you see

Most unexpected behaviour traces back to resolution rather than to the project. An older copy sitting earlier in the path, or a version manager pointing somewhere else, will do it every time.

Scope of this site

This domain carries reading notes only. Nothing is stored or re-published here, and every project remains where its authors placed it.

A note on older machines

Hardware age matters more than people expect here. Recent releases tend to assume modern runtimes and current system libraries, so an ageing machine can rule out the newest version entirely.
